Australia Faces Bowling Dilemma Ahead of New Zealand Series Finale

Wellington: Australia will need to make at least one change to their lineup for the final T20I match against New Zealand, as opening bowler Darcie Brown returns home for family reasons.

Brown’s departure is a setback for the Australian team, which has already secured a 2-0 lead in the series. The pacer had a notable impact in the second match held in Mount Maunganui, claiming two wickets to help Australia clinch the series.

In her absence, Megan Schutt, an experienced quick who missed the second match, is expected to step in as a likely replacement. Additionally, all-rounder Charli Knott is being considered for an international debut.

Brown has been instrumental in the series, taking three wickets across the opening two matches. Only her teammate, Annabel Sutherland, has taken more wickets in the series so far.

Australia’s squad for the series includes Tahlia McGrath as captain, with Ashleigh Gardner serving as vice-captain. The squad also features Nicole Faltum, Kim Garth, Grace Harris, Alana King, Phoebe Litchfield, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Annabel Sutherland, Georgia Voll, and Georgia Wareham.
