Arts Council Karachi Honors Musical Legends Ustad Abdullah Khan and Muhammad Nasir

Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi's Music Committee held a commemorative event at Haseena Moin Hall in memory of the renowned shehnai maestro Ustad Abdullah Khan and celebrated lyricist Muhammad Nasir. The event featured a large gathering from the music fraternity and began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. A special video presentation highlighted Ustad Abdullah Khan's life and contributions to Pakistani music, while songs written by Muhammad Nasir were performed and received with appreciation.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the event was attended by notable speakers, including President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah, who emphasized the importance of preserving traditional music and acknowledged Abdullah Khan's national contributions. Shah also announced plans to liaise with the Sindh government to support the late artist's family. Muhammad Nasir was praised for his unique contributions to music, with speakers highlighting his work's resonance and global recognition. The event, moderated by Vice Chairman Music Committee Noman Khan, featured musical renditions of Abdullah Khan's poetry, appreciated by the audience.
