KARACHI: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi hosted a grand "Independence Festival, Music and Qawwali Night" in honor of Independence Day, featuring Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah as the chief guest. The event, attended by President Arts Council Mohammad Ahmed Shah, Secretary Ejaz Farooqui, and numerous council members, showcased musical performances by acclaimed artists and a lively qawwali session.
According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the festival included performances by singers such as Imran Javed, Kamran Saggu, and Aroosa Ali, and qawwali by Fareed Ayaz and Abu Muhammad Qawwal, which captivated the audience at the Jaun Elia Lawn. The event also featured a flag-hoisting and cake-cutting ceremony, followed by a fireworks display. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah emphasized the role of Sindh in Pakistan's history and urged the youth to remember their heritage. President Arts Council Mohammad Ahmed Shah highlighted the unity of the nation and the importance of strong roots, encouraging the younger generation to inspire positive change.
