Lahore: Left-arm fast bowler Akif Javed delved into his cricket journey and professional experiences in the recently released 89th edition of the PCB Podcast. The episode is available for free download and provides listeners with insights into Javed’s career, which has seen him make significant strides in both domestic and international cricket.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Javed, who hails from Kohat and is now 25 years old, participated in the National Champions Cup in Multan and was involved in the first-leg of the NCA Bowlers Development Camp. Javed has represented Pakistan in three One-Day Internationals, all against New Zealand in March 2025, where he took seven wickets. His cricket career includes 31 First-Class matches, 40 List-A games, and 109 T20 matches.

Javed has also played for four different teams in the HBL PSL over five seasons. Most recently, he was an integral part of the Hyderabad Kingsmen's bowling attack, contributing 12 wickets during their campaign as runners-up. Currently, Javed is part of Pakistan's squad for the Asian Games 2026.
