Lahore: UET Lahore has initiated a Plantation Drive Awareness Walk 2026 aimed at fostering environmental sustainability through collective action. The event, held at the university's Automotive Engineering Centre, saw participation from students, faculty, and university leadership, including Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, who collectively planted saplings to promote a greener campus.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the initiative was organized under the SAE UET × CM Punjab Green Credit Program with a straightforward message: plant with purpose, nurture with care, and inspire others to do the same. The event highlighted the university's commitment to environmental responsibility, encouraging the academic community to take active steps towards sustainability.
