Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP), has announced that Mr. Tahir Raza will be a distinguished speaker at the International Multidisciplinary Conference (IMC 2026). Mr. Raza, an alumnus of UET Lahore and Founder & Principal Consultant of IESTECH and IES Consulting, will bring his expertise in HVAC system design and consulting to the event.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, Mr. Raza will present on the topic "The Performance Gap: Why Efficient HVAC Systems Still Produce High-Electricity Bills?" His presentation aims to address the disparity between designed and actual HVAC energy performance. The session will cover how decisions made during design, construction, commissioning, and operation stages impact electricity consumption. It will also offer practical strategies for enhancing energy efficiency, reducing operational costs, and achieving sustainable building performance.

The conference, which adopts the theme "Innovation for Sustainable Development: Integrating Engineering, Science and Technology," is scheduled for November 17-18, 2026, at UET Lahore. Mr. Raza's participation underscores the conference's focus on sustainable engineering solutions.
