U19 Women’s T20 Tri-Series Begins with Pakistan Facing Bangladesh

Faisalabad: Pakistan is set to face Bangladesh in the opening match of the Women's U19 T20 tri-series at Iqbal Stadium on Friday. The tournament, which also features Sri Lanka, will be played in a triple round-robin format from October 2 to 16, with the top two teams advancing to the final.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, each team will play six matches starting at 11 a.m. local time, following a 10.30 a.m. toss. This marks the second series for the Pakistan women's U19 team since July, after a 3-2 series loss to South Africa in Karachi. Fizza Fiaz will continue to lead the team.

The matches will be live-streamed in Pakistan on Tapmad and Tamasha, with the final also broadcast on PTV Sports. Fans in Bangladesh can watch on Tapmad, while international viewers can access the games via the PCB's YouTube channel.

Ahead of the series, Pakistan captain Fizza Fiaz expressed optimism about gaining a strong start, while Bangladesh captain Sadia Islam noted the new experience of playing in Pakistan. Sri Lanka's captain, Chamudi Prabodha, highlighted the opportunity for young players to shine and contribute to their team's success.
