Karachi: Vice Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, facilitated a consultative session at NED University of Engineering and Technology. The session, which took place in Karachi, aimed to address the future trajectory of engineering education in Pakistan, focusing on modernization and industry alignment.
According to University of Engineering and Technology, the session was attended by key academic leaders, including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tufail, Vice Chancellor of NED University; Prof. Dr. Nouman Ahmad, Pro Vice Chancellor of NED University; and Engr. Prof. Dr. Madad Ali Shah, Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University. Faculty members from these institutions participated in discussions which delved into integrating artificial intelligence and emerging technologies within engineering curricula, enhancing research commercialization, and fostering entrepreneurship.
The session underscored the importance of industry-academia partnerships, innovation, and technology transfer.
