Islamabad: An informative lecture on fire safety and preventive measures was organized by the Iqra College of Technology and Skills (ICT&S) at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), aiming to enhance awareness among students regarding fire prevention, safety protocols, and emergency response techniques.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the lecture took place on September 17, 2026, and was delivered by Mr. Aqeel Alam Khattak, District Officer, Civil Defence. Mr. Khattak briefed students on various aspects of fire safety, including essential preventive measures, safe evacuation procedures, appropriate responses during fire emergencies, and practical techniques for extinguishing different types of fires.

Dr. Mahmood Ul Hassan, Deputy Director (A&F) at ICT&S, along with senior faculty members, welcomed Mr. Khattak and expressed appreciation for his participation in the awareness-raising session. A significant number of ICT&S students attended the lecture, showing interest in learning practical fire-extinguishing techniques and emergency safety measures.

The session was recognized as a valuable initiative to promote a culture of safety, preparedness, and responsible emergency response among students.
