Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his warmest felicitations to the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the Government, and the people of Brazil on their Independence Day. He conveyed his wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the Brazilian people.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari emphasized the value Pakistan places on its relationship with Brazil, citing shared interests and cooperation at international fora. He noted the potential for a stronger partnership between the two nations, particularly in trade and investment, agriculture, food security, science and technology, renewable energy, climate action, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
President Zardari commended President Lula for his advocacy of a rules-based international order and appreciated his emphasis on international law, peaceful dispute resolution, multilateralism, and global governance reform. He recognized Brazil's role in promoting dialogue and sustainable development as a contribution to a more inclusive international system.
The President reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Brazil to achieve shared goals of peace and prosperity. He expressed confidence in the deepening friendship between the two countries.
