Karachi: The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has named Dr. Azhar Rashid as the new Chief of Oncology Services, enhancing its cancer care operations in Karachi and Sukkur.
According to Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation, Dr. Rashid is a seasoned clinical and radiation oncologist with qualifications that include an MSc in Oncology from the University of Nottingham, UK, and an FCPS in oncology. He is set to lead SIUT's medical and radiation oncology services, managing the cancer care facilities from Karachi to Sukkur. Dr. Rashid will primarily operate from the Mehrunnisa Medical Complex in Karachi.
Dr. Rashid’s role will involve advancing cancer treatment services at SIUT. His expertise is expected to support the institution's ongoing mission to deliver quality healthcare at no cost, ensuring services are provided with dignity and without discrimination.
