Acting President Gilani Condoles the Passing of Norway’s King Harald V

Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani visited the Residence of the Ambassador of Norway in Islamabad to express his condolences following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway. He was received by senior officers of the Embassy and recorded his message in the condolence book opened for the occasion.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Mr. Gilani expressed sorrow over the passing of King Harald V. On behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, and on his own behalf, he extended condolences to His Majesty King Haakon VIII, the Royal Family, and the people of Norway.

Mr. Gilani highlighted King Harald V's service to Norway, noting his wisdom, dignity, and devotion during a reign that spanned over thirty-five years. He remarked that the late King's contributions would be remembered with respect.

Mr. Gilani added that the thoughts and prayers of the people of Pakistan were with the Royal Family and the people of Norway during this time of sorrow. He concluded by praying for the departed soul's eternal peace.
