Karachi: Pakistan is set to compete against Zimbabwe in a six-match women’s white-ball cricket series beginning on Monday at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi. The series will include three One Day Internationals (ODIs), which are part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29, followed by three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the ODIs are scheduled for May 4, 6, and 9, with each match starting at 3:30 p.m. PKT. The T20Is will be held on May 12, 14, and 15, with all matches beginning at 7:30 p.m. PKT. Pakistan's ODI team, captained by Fatima Sana, includes a 15-member squad featuring one uncapped player, Momina Riasat. The team for the T20I series is yet to be announced.

Pakistan, currently fifth in the ICC Women's Championship standings, aims to strengthen its position after an away series against South Africa earlier this year. The upcoming T20I series is viewed as essential preparation for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, scheduled in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5. Before the World Cup, Pakistan will participate in a T20I tri-nation tournament in Ireland, alongside Ireland and West Indies, from May 28 to June 4.

Fatima Sana emphasized the importance of the series for building momentum in the ICC Women's Championship cycle and expressed confidence in playing at home. Zimbabwe's Nomvelo Sibanda highlighted the historic nature of the tour, marking Zimbabwe women's team's first visit to Pakistan, and expressed enthusiasm for competing in new conditions.

The player support personnel for Pakistan includes a team manager, coaches for various disciplines, and other support staff to ensure thorough preparation and team performance during the series.
