Mumbai: India has announced its squad for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, aiming to secure the title for the first time. The tournament is set to begin on June 12, with India looking to build on their recent victory in the 50-over World Cup.

According to International Cricket Council, the Indian team will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, marking her fifth leadership stint at the T20 World Cup. The squad includes notable players such as Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Richa Ghosh, with bowling duties primarily handled by Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh. Four players, Bharti Fulmali, Nandani Sharma, Shree Charani, and Kranti Gaud, are set to make their debut at the tournament.

India's preparations will include a three-match T20I series against England, serving as the final tune-up before their World Cup campaign. The Indian team will face Pakistan in Group A, which also includes Australia, Bangladesh, Netherlands, and South Africa. Following the World Cup, India is scheduled to play a historic One-off Test against England at Lord's, marking the first Women's Test at the venue in 50 years.
