Muhammad Ali Butt Shines in Karachi Regional Cricket Tournament with All-Round Performance

Karachi: The second day of the third round of the Regional Inter District Senior (Karachi Region) Cricket Tournament saw a standout all-round performance by Muhammad Ali Butt, who scored 80 runs and took four wickets for 26 runs. Other notable performances included Imran Shah's near-century with 99 runs and Kashif Ali's 80, alongside Abdul Rafay's impressive bowling figures of 7/35.

According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the matches were held across various venues. At KCCA Stadium, Zone-V took the first innings lead with 295 runs, followed by a second innings score of 217/6 in 55 overs. Muhammad Abiss scored 92 runs, supported by Muhammad Hassan with 84 not out. Zone-V's overall lead reached 310 with four wickets in hand.

At the UBL Sports Complex, Zone-II initially scored 195 runs and managed a second innings of 136/6, with Umar Farooq remaining at the crease with 29 runs. Zone-VI, in response, declared at 317/6 in 70 overs, highlighted by Kashif Ali's 80 runs and Aibaad Khan's 67.

Meanwhile, at Baqai Cricket Ground, Zone-VII scored 287 in their first innings, leading by 64 runs. However, they were all out for 121 in their second innings. Abdul Rafay's bowling was instrumental in Zone-VII's collapse, taking seven wickets for 35 runs. Zone-III, in response, was 81/4 in their second innings, still requiring 104 runs for victory.
