LAHORE: In connection with the 80th Independence Day celebrations of Pakistan, the Punjab University Health Centre, in collaboration with the Red Crescent Foundation, organized a blood donation camp on Wednesday. The event was inaugurated by PU Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tahseen Zamir Ali and saw a significant turnout of volunteers who donated blood to aid children and other patients with various medical needs.
According to University of the Punjab, the camp was supported by a team of doctors and medical staff who facilitated the blood donation process. Dr. Tahseen Zamir Ali emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in assisting those in need, highlighting that donating blood is a vital act that can save lives. She expressed appreciation for the volunteers' commitment and stated that the PU Health Centre remains dedicated to serving the university community and supporting broader social welfare efforts.
