Karachi: A delegation from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) in Karachi, led by Saqib Abro, Manager of Media and PR, visited Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) as part of Pakistan's Independence Day celebrations. The visit commemorated both the 79th Independence Day and the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. This year has been designated by the Government of Pakistan as the "Year of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah."

According to Sindh Madressatul Islam University, the delegation explored the Jinnah Museum at SMIU, engaging with artifacts related to Quaid-e-Azam, such as his academic records, last will, and photographs from the college's 1943 inauguration. They also visited sections dedicated to the university's founder, Khan Bahadur Hassanally Effendi, and other notable alumni including Qazi Khuda Bakhsh, the first Muslim Mayor of Karachi.

Saqib Abro emphasized the historical significance of Sindh Madressatul Islam as an institution that has produced prominent leaders like Quaid-e-Azam, Sir Abdullah Haroon, and others who contributed to Pakistan's creation. He highlighted the importance of students connecting with their historical heritage by visiting the alma mater of the nation's founder.

The delegation also toured various sections of SMIU's main building, where Quaid-e-Azam received his education, and visited the radio and TV studios.
