KARACHI: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, emphasized the importance of equality for all citizens of Pakistan, regardless of faith, in a statement marking National Minorities Day. He highlighted that the nation's true strength lies in the equality, freedom, and equal citizenship of all its people.

According to a press release issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, Bhutto Zardari recognized the sacrifices and contributions of Pakistan's minority communities as integral to the nation's fabric. He stated that the aspirations and future of these communities are inseparable from those of Pakistan.

The Chairman reaffirmed the PPP's commitment to protecting the constitutional rights and religious freedom of minority communities, citing the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for a diverse and discrimination-free Pakistan. He referenced the 1973 Constitution, introduced by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, as a guarantee of equal rights and religious freedom. Bhutto Zardari also praised former President Asif Ali Zardari for establishing National Minorities Day on August 11, describing it as an enduring commitment to tolerance and unity.

He urged the nation to commit to building a Pakistan where every faith is respected, every voice is dignified, and every citizen enjoys equal rights and a secure future.
