Pakistan and Japan Discuss Enhanced Cooperation in Skilled Workforce Mobility

Tokyo: The Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, Mr. Abdul Hameed, met with Japan's Minister of Justice, Mr. Hiroshi Hiraguchi, to explore further cooperation between the two countries. The discussions focused on opportunities for skilled Pakistani professionals and workers in Japan, as well as enhancing institutional collaboration in skills development, labor mobility, and capacity building.

According to Press Information Department, both parties emphasized the significance of strengthening people-to-people connectivity as a cornerstone of the bilateral relationship. They reiterated their commitment to advancing practical cooperation that benefits both Pakistani and Japanese citizens.

The meeting highlighted ongoing efforts to finalize a new Memorandum of Cooperation on Employment for Skill Development. This memorandum aims to establish a stronger institutional framework to facilitate the movement of skilled human resources and expand bilateral economic engagement.

The discussions underscored the steady progress in Pakistan-Japan relations and the mutual determination to deepen cooperation across various sectors of shared interest.
