Petroleum Minister and KUFPEC Discuss Energy Cooperation Expansion

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik engaged in discussions with Tareq Ebrahim, Vice President Operations of Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC), to explore avenues for enhancing collaboration in Pakistan's petroleum sector.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting emphasized the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Kuwait, which has spanned over five decades in the energy sector. Ali Pervaiz Malik highlighted Kuwait as a close ally and expressed the government's dedication to furthering this enduring relationship.

In response, Tareq Ebrahim acknowledged the support provided by the Minister in facilitating investment opportunities. He noted that KUFPEC is eager to expand its presence in Pakistan's upstream energy sector, citing significant potential.

The Federal Minister assured KUFPEC of the government's unwavering support and reiterated Pakistan's commitment to fostering an environment conducive to international investments in the petroleum sector.
