LAHORE: Punjab University has conferred a PhD degree upon Muhammad Uzair, the son of Bashir Ahmad, in the field of Gender Studies. The award follows the approval of his doctoral thesis titled, "Exploring Gendered Vulnerabilities and Adaptive Capacities in Flood-Affected Areas of South Punjab."

According to University of the Punjab, Dr. Muhammad Uzair is currently serving as a Research Officer in the Department of Gender Studies at Punjab University. His doctoral research was completed under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ra'ana Malik of the same department.
