LAHORE: Professor Dr. Mahmood Saleem, a seasoned academic and chemical engineer, has taken on the role of Pro Vice Chancellor at Punjab University. With over three decades of experience in academia and administration, Prof. Saleem brings a wealth of expertise to his new position. Previously, he held the position of Vice Chancellor at Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology and served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of the Punjab.
According to University of the Punjab, Prof. Saleem, who earned his doctorate in Chemical and Process Engineering from Graz University of Technology in Austria, has made significant contributions in the areas of gas cleaning technologies, process development, and sustainable energy. His academic journey includes supervising numerous PhD candidates, leading various research initiatives, and publishing extensively in renowned journals. Additionally, he has been actively involved with the Pakistan Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Pakistan Engineering Council, further highlighting his leadership in the field.
