LAHORE: A high-level Chinese delegation visited Punjab University (PU) to discuss potential avenues for academic collaboration between Pakistan and China. The meeting, held with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, included representatives from Lanzhou Resource and Environment Vocational and Technical University and TANG International Education Group, among others.
According to University of the Punjab, the discussions centered around enhancing cooperation in vocational and higher education, with both parties expressing their commitment to localized talent development initiatives and educational exchanges under the Pakistan-China strategic partnership. The meeting also considered the establishment of a Pakistan-China Meteorological Service Promotion Base at PU, aiming to cover various areas including meteorological training and capacity building.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali welcomed the delegation and highlighted the importance of expanding academic collaborations. He noted the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China as a foundation for new opportunities in higher education and research.
