Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has signed an agreement with Energy Conscious Engineering (ECE) (Pvt.) Ltd. to install a 400 kW solar power system at the university's new campus in Kala Shah Kaku (KSK). The initiative aims to enhance the campus's green energy capacity while reducing electricity expenses.

According to University of Engineering and Technology, the agreement was formalized with the signing of documents by Mr. Abid Shahzad Aslam, Treasurer of UET Lahore, and the CEO of ECE (Pvt.) Ltd. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir highlighted the university's commitment to renewable energy and resource efficiency. He emphasized that the project is expected to generate substantial financial savings for the university and contribute to environmentally sustainable infrastructure development.

The Vice Chancellor also mentioned ongoing efforts to improve energy efficiency and infrastructure development. He acknowledged the contributions of committees, technical experts, and stakeholders involved in the project's planning and evaluation. The solar power system project represents a significant step towards a more sustainable future for UET Lahore.
