LAHORE: Pakistan is observing four days as “Days of Victory,” a significant milestone in the nation’s history, as stated by Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali. He spoke at the closing ceremony of the All Pakistan Media Fest held at Faisal Auditorium. The event, organized by the Department of Student Affairs and the Pioneer Media Society, saw participation from MPA Chaudhry Muhammad Yousaf Kaselia, former Health Minister Dr. Saeed Elahi, and other notable figures.
According to University of the Punjab, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali highlighted the unity of the Pakistan Armed Forces, along with national and political solidarity, as key factors in rejuvenating the country’s strength. He remarked on the resilience shown during an attack by India and praised the intellectual prowess of Pakistani university graduates who played a role in downing 11 enemy aircraft. The Vice Chancellor emphasized the nation’s unified support for its armed forces as a crucial element in overcoming challenges.
He also noted the increasing global attention on Pakistan, mentioning “Islamabad Talks” and the country’s significance being recognized by figures such as President Trump. Dr. Muhammad Ali asserted that Pakistan’s efforts averted a potential third world war, enhancing its image worldwide. He congratulated the political and military leadership, as well as the general public, for this achievement.
The Vice Chancellor underscored the role of universities in preparing students to be responsible citizens, especially in fields like science, technology, and artificial intelligence. He commended the Pioneer Media Society, led by student Ahmed Bajwa, for organizing the Media Fest. Dr. Shahzaib Khan expressed gratitude for the Vice Chancellor’s support, acknowledging the collaborative effort required to successfully conduct the festival. The three-day event featured musical programs, poetry recitals, and student competitions.
