Islamabad: International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) partnered with Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) to distribute Eid gifts to deserving students at a ceremony held at the university's Administration Block. This initiative was part of a broader collaboration aimed at supporting financially challenged students.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the collaboration with HHRD, a prominent international humanitarian organization, was formalized in February 2025 through a Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement focuses on enhancing cooperation in mobilizing and training student volunteers for social welfare and community service programs.
At the event, HHRD provided two-piece, stitched suits for 40 talented and financially needy IIUI students. The ceremony was attended by senior university officials and HHRD representatives, with Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman, Vice President (Academics) of IIUI, presiding over the proceedings.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman thanked HHRD for their support, emphasizing the university's dedication to student welfare and the importance of partnerships with reputable organizations. He highlighted the initiative's role in fostering compassion and community spirit within the university, underscoring IIUI's commitment to promoting volunteerism and social responsibility.
