President Zardari and Sheikh Mohammed Discuss Strengthening Pakistan-UAE Ties in Dubai


Dubai: President Asif Ali Zardari met with H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, at Zabeel Palace in Dubai today. The leaders focused on enhancing economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.



According to Pakistan Peoples Party, President Zardari congratulated Sheikh Mohammed on his two decades of leadership and commended Dubai’s development into a global hub for tourism, finance, and technology. Discussions included leveraging Dubai’s experience in various sectors, including ports, logistics, and digital financial services. President Zardari highlighted Pakistan’s economic reforms and sought enhanced cooperation in infrastructure, logistics, food security, and technology sectors, extending an invitation to Sheikh Mohammed to visit Pakistan.



Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction with the progress of ties. They emphasized the importance of high-level exchanges and acknowledged the UAE’s support for Pakistan’s economic development, highlighting the role of the Pakistani community in the UAE. The meeting included First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE.
