According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Humayun Khan extended his condolences to the bereaved families and stated that the party stands with them during this challenging time. He offered prayers for the deceased and their families, calling for patience and strength to endure the loss.

Khan criticized the provincial government's response to the climate-related disaster, describing it as indifferent and lacking urgency. He urged provincial authorities to swiftly launch rescue, relief, and rehabilitation operations, and to provide financial and humanitarian aid to the victims.
