Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Honors Ali Raza with Tribute Event

Karachi: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Stage Show Committee organized a tribute event for Ali Raza, a director, producer, and TV host. The event was attended by several notable figures, including General Javed Zia, DIG CTD Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, and others. The ceremony featured a showreel of Raza’s career highlights, and he was honored with a Gold Award, a shield, and a certificate of appreciation.

According to Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the event was moderated by Noman Khan, and a tradition of honoring individuals during their lifetime was emphasized by Chairman Saadat Ali Jafri. He noted that since 2009, the council has recognized living artists for their contributions. Jafri highlighted the role of President Muhammad Ahmed Shah in the council's achievements, mentioning the global recognition of Pakistan’s art and culture due to the "World Culture Festival."

During the event, Amjad Hussain Shah, Chairman of the Music Committee, praised Ali Raza's artistic contributions and commended his work in elevating cultural awareness. General Javed Zia described Raza as a national hero for his impactful work in regions like Quetta, Balochistan. Former IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and DIG CTD Ghulam Azfar Mahesar also lauded Raza's contributions to society and law enforcement.

Video messages from Chairman ARY Haji Jan Muhammad and Indian actor Raza Murad further underscored Ali Raza's influence and achievements. The tribute concluded with Raza expressing gratitude to his family and colleagues, emphasizing the importance of loving people and raising the voices of the oppressed.
