LAHORE: Punjab University College of Art and Design's Department of Architecture held a thesis exhibition where 27 graduating students showcased their projects. The event, attended by Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Mehboob Hussain, Principal Prof Dr Samina Naseem, faculty members, and students, highlighted innovative architectural designs.
According to University of the Punjab, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of aligning student training with market demands. He noted that the exhibition effectively demonstrated students' ability to address social issues and incorporate local architecture in their work. The projects ranged from high-rise and cultural buildings to small housing units, all reflecting the students' skill and creativity. The Vice Chancellor also commended the faculty for their role in guiding students to produce quality work.
The exhibition featured diverse projects, including sustainable housing societies in Multan and cultural centers in Mardan. Works from Jhang, Naltar, Okara, Parachinar, Bahawalpur, and other areas were also displayed, underscoring the students' talent and the promising future of architecture in Pakistan.
