Chemistry Students Explore Pharmaceutical Manufacturing on Educational Visit

Lahore: Students from the University of Central Punjab’s Department of Basic and Applied Chemistry recently gained valuable insights into the pharmaceutical industry during an educational visit to Dr. Masood Homeopathic Pharmaceuticals Private Limited. The study tour included students from the BS Chemistry and M.Phil. Chemistry programs, accompanied by Dr. Muhammad Riaz, Associate Professor, and Dr. Sadia Zulfiqar, Assistant Professor.

The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and industrial practices. This initiative was designed to help bridge the gap between their theoretical studies and real-world applications.

During the tour, students observed various stages of the manufacturing process and learned about the stringent quality control measures in place to ensure product safety and efficacy. The visit offered an opportunity for students to understand the complexities of industrial operations and the importance of maintaining high standards in pharmaceutical production.

Dr. Riaz and Dr. Zulfiqar emphasized the significance of such educational excursions in enhancing the students’ learning experience, providing insights that are difficult to achieve through classroom instruction alone. The visit was part of the department’s ongoing efforts to integrate practical learning experiences into the academic curriculum, preparing students for future careers in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
