Seminar Promotes Blood Donation and Social Responsibility

Lahore: The Volunteers in Service Department, in collaboration with the Sundas Foundation, recently organized a seminar on social responsibility and blood donation at the University of Central Punjab. The event, aimed at promoting humanitarian values and voluntary blood donation, featured participation from students, faculty, and staff.

Renowned actress Resham and veteran actor, writer, and comedian Khalid Abbas Dar, who serves as the Honorary Director at the Sundas Foundation, were the key speakers at the seminar. They emphasized the importance of empathy, community service, and support for patients with blood-related diseases.

The seminar was followed by a two-day blood donation camp. The initiative resulted in the collection of a significant number of blood bags, particularly benefiting thalassemic children. The Sundas Foundation ensured the blood collection process was safe and efficient.

The university’s effort highlighted the role of educational institutions in fostering social responsibility among students and staff. The collaboration with the Sundas Foundation underscored the impact of community partnerships in addressing critical healthcare needs.
