Mass Wedding Ceremony Unites 174 Couples in Bahawalpur

Bahawalpur: A significant mass wedding ceremony was held in Bahawalpur as part of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s “Dhee Rani Program – Phase 3,” where 174 couples, including Christian, Hindu, and differently-abled couples, were married. Each couple received financial aid of PKR 200,000 via ATM cards from the Chief Minister.

The ceremony served as a platform for promoting social welfare and inclusivity. Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, Sohail Shaukat Butt, attended the event as the chief guest. The ceremony was also attended by MPA Saadia Bilal, Additional Secretary Amina Munir, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Farhan Farooq, and DPO Hassan Iqbal.

The initiative, developed under the Social Welfare Department, aims to support deserving couples by easing the financial burden associated with marriage. The third phase of the program highlights the government’s commitment to fostering community support and providing aid to various segments within society.

The ceremony was marked by the participation of community leaders and government officials, emphasizing the collaborative effort to support the welfare of the citizens. The event underscored the importance of government-backed programs in facilitating social unity and financial assistance.
