Islamabad: Pakistan is set to host Sri Lanka for a three-match One Day International (ODI) series beginning November 11, as part of an action-filled home cricket season. The series, to be held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, marks the first time Sri Lanka will play ODIs in Pakistan since 2019.

The series is part of a busy schedule for the Pakistan men’s cricket team, which includes hosting South Africa for an all-format tour starting in October. Following the ODI series against Sri Lanka, Pakistan will participate in a T20I tri-series involving Afghanistan, marking the country’s first home tri-series.

The upcoming matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium come after the venue hosted games during this year’s ICC Men’s Champions Trophy. Pakistan last faced Sri Lanka in an ODI during the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup, securing a six-wicket victory.

Pakistan, having recently won a tri-series against Afghanistan and the UAE, is also preparing for the Asia Cup in the UAE, starting September 9. These matches are seen as preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next year in India and Sri Lanka.

The ODI series against Sri Lanka is scheduled as follows: the first match on November 11, the second on November 13, and the third on November 15, all at Rawalpindi.
