KARACHI/ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid tribute to the defenders of Pakistan’s skies and the martyrs of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Air Force Day, observed nationwide.
In a statement from the Media Cell, Bhutto Zardari highlighted September 7 as a symbol of courage and sacrifice, marking the 1965 defense of the nation by PAF. He acknowledged the bravery of PAF’s “Shaheens” who defended the motherland against significant odds.
Bhutto Zardari noted the continuation of this valor, referencing a recent defense against Indian aggression where PAF downed six enemy aircraft, celebrated as the “6.0 victory.” He emphasized the PAF’s role in safeguarding national sovereignty and serving as a source of national pride.
He further remarked on the PPP’s respect for the armed forces, recalling contributions by Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in strengthening defense capabilities and modernizing the PAF.
Highlighting the PAF’s strength, Bhutto Zardari praised the spirit and discipline of its personnel. He concluded with a prayer for the PAF’s continued strength and success in defending the nation.
