Netherlands Announces Squad for ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy

Amsterdam: The Netherlands has revealed a strong squad for the ICC Women's Emerging Nations Trophy 2026, set to begin on November 12 in the United Arab Emirates, with Babette de Leede as the captain. The team is coming off a 1-1 ODI series draw against Scotland, following their debut in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup earlier this year.

According to International Cricket Council, the squad mostly retains players from the T20 World Cup, with Carlijn van Koolwijk being a notable addition. The Netherlands is grouped with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, and defending champions Thailand in Group B. The tournament sees an expansion to ten teams this year, compared to five in the previous edition, including five full members: Ireland, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe.

The matches are scheduled in Ajman at the Karwan Sports Club Cricket Ground and the Seven Districts Sports Club. Group A comprises Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, and hosts UAE, alongside the teams in Group B. The tournament will feature these nations competing for the title in a structured group format.
