UVAS, FGRF Partner For Greener Pakistan

Islamabad: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore and Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF) have joined forces to enhance environmental sustainability. The two organizations formalized their partnership with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focusing on a tree planting drive under the FGRF Green Pakistan Campaign.

The agreement was signed by Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management, Prof Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub, and FGRF Head of Department, Muhammad Shahid Attari, at UVAS City Campus. UVAS Registrar Sajjad Hyder and Prof Dr Mati Ur Rehman Khan Niazi were also in attendance.

The collaboration aims to plant 350 saplings annually at the UVAS City Campus. FGRF will supply the young trees, while UVAS will oversee their planting, upkeep, and protection. The university will also manage site preparation, watering, and other logistical needs to ensure the plants thrive. Following the signing, Prof Ayyub and other officials symbolically planted a sapling near the Vice-Chancellor’s office.
