Islamabad: Chitral University has forged a partnership with Hindukushsoft Technologies to provide internship opportunities for its computer science students. The agreement, signed on August 12, 2025, will create a collaborative framework between the university’s Computer Science Department and the Chitral Lower-based tech company.
The memorandum of understanding (MOU) aims to offer internships to students pursuing Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and Associate Degree in Computer Science (ADCS) degrees. The pact was signed by Chitral University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hazir Ullah and Hindukushsoft Technologies CEO Mr. Abu Zar Mishwani at the Vice Chancellor’s office.
Prof. Dr. Ullah praised the work of Dr. Muhammad Romman, Additional Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC); Mr. Zia ur Rahman, ORIC’s Manager of Innovation and Commercialization; and Dr. Muhammad Sadiq Khan, Head of the Computer Science Department, for their roles in facilitating the collaboration and skill development initiative. Dr. Khan will serve as the point of contact for the agreement.
Several other university officials attended the signing ceremony, including Dr. Sahib Khan, Additional Registrar; Dr. Sana Ullah, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Nizamudin, Additional Director of Academics; Dr. Rizwanullah, ORIC’s Manager of Research Management; and Mr. Yasir Arafat, Deputy Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell.
