Saudi Shura Council Delegation’s Visit to Faisal Mosque Highlights Strong Ties with Pakistan

Islamabad: A delegation from Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council, led by General Dr. Abdulrahman bin Snhat Al-Harbi, visited the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad as part of their official visit to Pakistan. The group, invited by the Government of Pakistan, was welcomed by local officials, including Professor Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General of Dawah Academy, and Dr. Qari Zia ur Rehman, Head of Faisal Mosque Islamic Centre.

The delegation toured the mosque, noting its architectural design, and participated in the Maghrib prayers. Members of the delegation emphasized the strong bond between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, highlighting shared faith and values as the foundation of their relationship.

During the visit, Dr. Ilyas briefed the delegation on the services provided by the Faisal Mosque and the contributions of the International Islamic University Islamabad to the Muslim world through education and research.

The visit is regarded as a positive step in further strengthening the relationship and enhancing connections between the two nations.
