Abu Rehan Cricket Club Advances to Semi-Finals with Convincing Win

Karachi: Abu Rehan Cricket Club secured a place in the semi-finals of the inaugural Asif Mahmood Memorial Junior District Club Cricket Tournament, hosted by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi Zone One. The team delivered a decisive victory over Muhammad Hussain Cricket Club, driven by the exceptional all-round performance of Muhammad Azlan.

The quarter-final match unfolded at the Young Fighter Ground, where Muhammad Hussain Cricket Club set a target of 220 runs, losing seven wickets in their designated 40 overs. Key contributors to the score included Monis Nadeem, who scored 58 runs, Umar Khattab with 57, and Zubair Khan adding 29. Abu Rehan CC’s Muhammad Azlan and Inshal Nawab each took two wickets, playing a crucial role in limiting their opponents’ total.

Abu Rehan Cricket Club confidently chased the target, amassing 221 runs with a loss of only two wickets in 35.2 overs. Muhammad Azlan showcased his prowess by scoring an unbeaten 81 runs. He was ably supported by Faraz Ahmed Khan, who retired hurt after making a solid 50, and Hamza Saleem, who remained not out at 47.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions with both the bat and ball, Muhammad Azlan was named Player of the Match. The accolade was presented by Arif Waheed Khan, the Secretary of the Regional Cricket Association Zone One and President of Abu Rehan Cricket Club.
