Karachi: Karachi Kings’ player Aamir Jamal has been fined five percent of his match fee for breaching the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) code of conduct. The incident occurred during the team’s PSL X match against Peshawar Zalmi at the National Bank Stadium on Monday night.
The penalty was imposed after Aamir was found to have violated Article 2.5 of the HBL PSL Code of Conduct. The article pertains to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during a match.”
The infraction took place in the 15th over of the first innings. Aamir, after dismissing batter Hussain, approached him and made a remark that led to the breach of conduct.
Aamir admitted to the violation and accepted the penalty as proposed by match referee Iftikhar Ahmed. The charges were brought forward by on-field umpires Faisal Khan Aafreedi and Paul Reiffel.
The Pakistan Cricket Board released this information, underscoring the league’s commitment to maintaining discipline and sportsmanship on the field.
