Lahore: The much-anticipated anthem of the HBL Pakistan Super League’s tenth edition, titled “X DEKHO,” is scheduled for release on Wednesday, April 2, at 5 p.m. PKT. The anthem will be available on the HBL PSL YouTube Channel and will also be broadcast on television channels.
The new anthem features a lineup of prominent artists, including the well-known Punjabi music figure Abrar-Ul-Haq, marking his debut for the HBL PSL. He is joined by singer-songwriter Ali Zafar, Natasha Baig, who brings her voice to the HBL PSL anthem for the first time, and rapper Talha Anjum.
The anthem aims to encapsulate the energy and fervor of Pakistan’s premier cricket event, highlighting the deep connection between cricket, music, and its fans. This year’s tournament will involve six teams and take place across four cities: Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi, from April 11 to May 18.
HBL PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer emphasized the significance of this year’s anthem as a celebration of a decade of the league. He stated, “The vision for this year’s anthem is to celebrate a milestone – ten years of HBL Pakistan Super League. The anthem is thus named ‘X Dekho,’ representing pride over the achievements and the hurdles overcome by the HBL PSL over the last decade.”
Naseer also noted the diversity of the artists involved, reflecting Pakistan’s range of talent. The goal was to create a song that is both innovative and resonates with fans around the world.
The release comes as fans eagerly await the start of the tournament, with the anthem expected to set the tone for the upcoming cricket season.
