Karachi: The Master Oil Inter Club Cricket Tournament continued with three matches recently, where Rao Waqar and Muhammad Waqas stole the spotlight with their brilliant centuries. This event, a staple in local cricket, unfolded across various grounds in Karachi under the organization of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi in collaboration with Master Oil Lubricant.
According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the first match saw Mehmood Khan Cricket Club overcome Larosh Cricket Club by four wickets at Afza Ground. Larosh CC posted a competitive 299/8 in their 40 overs, featuring a century by Rao Waqar and significant contributions from Fahad Nadeem and Hamza Sarwar. In reply, Mehmood Khan CC reached 300/6 in just 31 overs, thanks to Muhammad Waqas’s century and Tayyab’s quick 81 runs.
In the second game at Student Sports Ground, Airport Star Cricket Club defeated Landhi Gymkhana Colts by 19 runs. Airport Star CC set a target of 210/7, bolstered by Abid Ali’s unbeaten 99. Landhi Gymkhana Colts were all out for 191, with Shahid Ali Khan leading the scorecard.
The third match featured Mujahid Gymkhana Dolphin Cricket Club beating Hyderi Cricket Club by 68 runs at Young Fighter Ground. Mujahid Gymkhana Dolphin CC put up 179/8, a score that proved too challenging for Hyderi Cricket Club, who managed only 111/9 in their innings.
