Lahore: The Faculty of Media and Mass Communication at the University of Central Punjab recently hosted a successful recruitment drive in collaboration with Radio Pakistan. The event, held on September 19, 2024, focused on auditions for media students, with several securing opportunities to advance in the field.

According to University of Central Punjab, the recruitment drive was organized by UCP Radio FM 92.6, also known as UCP ki Dunya, and facilitated by Dr. Hina Adeeb, Assistant Professor and in-charge of the UCP Radio Station. Mr. Sohail Anwaar, Assistant Producer, managed the logistics for the event, which welcomed notable figures from Radio Pakistan including Dr. Ahmer Sohail, Station Director at Lahore, along with senior producers Mr. Zuber Bashir and Ms. Khadija Murad, and Programme Manager Mr. Kareem Ahmed.

The event saw auditions from 18 media students, with 5 being shortlisted for future roles. Dr. Fawad Baig, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Mass Communication, and Dr. Hina Adeeb expressed their gratitude to the Radio Pakistan team for providing a platform that bridges academic training with professional exposure.
