Sindh University Law Team Heads to Islamabad for National Moot Court Competition

Jamshoro: A team of law students from Sindh University, led by Professor Dr. Ghulam Ali Barro, has departed for Islamabad to compete in the 16th Henry Donant International Humanitarian Law Moot Court Competition. The event, set to take place from September 24 to 26, 2024, draws participants from across the nation to engage in rigorous legal debates.

According to University of Sindh, the team, including students Tahsin Akhtar, Saip Mehdi Shah, and Nirmal Arif Jamali, secured their spot in the competition by standing out among 1,504 teams, ultimately being selected as one of the top 12 contenders. This achievement highlights the intense preparation and commitment of the students and the leadership of Danesh Bashir Mangi, Head of Law at the university. Mangi’s innovative contributions to legal education have notably enhanced the department’s reputation and effectiveness.

The participation in this prestigious competition reflects the university’s dedication to fostering practical legal skills among its students, preparing them for future challenges in the field of law.
