Islamabad: In a significant diplomatic engagement, President Asif Ali Zardari addressed the 94th National Day Reception of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), held in Islamabad today, where he reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia across multiple sectors.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the event, hosted by the Saudi Embassy, was attended by an array of dignitaries including federal ministers, diplomats, and top civil and military officials. In his speech, President Zardari conveyed warm felicitations to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the people of Saudi Arabia, highlighting the deep, multifaceted cooperation between the two nations that extends into economic, trade, defense, cultural, educational, and interpersonal arenas.
The President lauded the visionary leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, noting the significant advancements Saudi Arabia has made under his guidance. He expressed hope for Saudi Arabia’s continued progress and prosperity, acknowledging the substantial contributions of nearly 2.7 million Pakistanis living and working in Saudi Arabia, who play a vital role in the Kingdom’s socio-economic development.
President Zardari emphasized the importance of further strengthening the fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, underscoring their shared goals for the advancement of their nations, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and the promotion of regional and global peace and stability.
