Rawalpindi Marks End of Universal Week of Unity and Brotherhood with Commemorative Events

Rawalpindi: The Universal Week of Unity and Brotherhood, initiated by Quaid Millat Jafaria Aghasid Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi, concluded on Monday, 18th of Rabiul Awwal, with a series of celebrations across Rawalpindi. These events featured sermons and addresses by prominent scholars, who emphasized the historical and religious significance of unity and moral courage, exemplified by figures such as Hazrat Umm Kulthum (PBUH) bint Ali (PBUH).

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the week’s activities included Milad parties and various commemorative events where scholars highlighted the contributions of Hazrat Umm Kulthum (PBUH) in confronting tyranny during her time. Allama Syed Qamar Zaidi delivered a poignant address, recounting how Hazrat Umm Kulthum used her sermons to challenge oppression in the markets of Kufa and the courts of notable historical figures, embodying the death of Yazidism. He praised her role in promoting the religious and worldly development of society.

Further enriching the discussions, Allama Shiba Kazmi reflected on the significant impact of women in history, particularly noting Hazrat Umm Kulthum’s role as a formidable preacher and her enduring struggles alongside her family during pivotal moments in Islamic history.

The closing of the Universal Week of Unity and Brotherhood was also an occasion for reaffirming commitments to justice and supporting the oppressed, following the teachings of Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS). The event concluded with prayers for the nation’s development and security, underscoring a collective aspiration for peace and unity.
