Bahria Town Named Title Sponsor of Champions One-Day Cup in Faisalabad


Faisalabad: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced Bahria Town as the new title sponsor for the upcoming Champions One-Day Cup, scheduled to be held from September 12 to 29 at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. The tournament, featuring top domestic cricket talent, will now be known as the Bahria Town Champions One-Day Cup.



According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the opener of the tournament will see the UMT Markhors, mentored by Misbah-ul-Haq, take on the Saqlain Mushtaq mentored Lake City Panthers. The sponsorship by Bahria Town is part of a broader engagement with several prominent businesses supporting the event, including Blue World City, Inverex Solar Energy, Brighto Paints, and Kingdom Valley, with Tapal serving as the official tea partner.



The PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, expressed gratitude towards Bahria Town for their significant support and highlighted the importance of such partnerships in enhancing the domestic cricket scene. He also acknowledged the contributions of other sponsors who have acquired naming rights for various teams, enhancing the commercial viability and appeal of the tournament.



The event promises to be an exciting showcase of Pakistan’s cricketing talent, backed by strong corporate support, aiming to elevate the sport’s profile at the domestic level.
