Lahore: The Executive MBA (EMBA) program at the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB), part of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), has been ranked 14th in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024 by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) University Rankings. This ranking also places the program within the 111-120 range globally, marking a significant improvement from the previous year.
According to Lahore University of Management Sciences, the EMBA program’s rise in the QS Rankings from 25th in Asia-Pacific and 121-130 globally in 2023, to its current position, highlights its growing prestige and effectiveness in providing top-tier business education. Dr. Shakeel Sadiq Jajja, Associate Dean of Graduate Programmes at SDSB, attributed this success to the faculty’s research efforts, the quality of its students, and the supportive educational environment at LUMS.
The QS Rankings evaluate executive MBA programs worldwide using indicators such as Career Outcomes, Diversity, Employer Reputation, Executive Profile, and Thought Leadership. SDSB’s EMBA program notably scored 90 percent in the Career Outcomes category, indicating a substantial impact on graduates’ career advancements.
This accolade follows SDSB’s recent reaccreditation by AACSB International, confirming its status among the top 6 percent of global business schools. It was also the first in Pakistan to achieve this accreditation in 2019. Further, earlier this month, LUMS received high marks for employer reputation and international faculty in the QS World University Ranking 2025, underscoring its commitment to academic excellence and leadership development.
