Haripur: Dr. Zia ul Islam, Associate Professor in the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education at the University of Haripur, has been elected unopposed as a Senate member for the remaining period up to July 21, 2025. This election is part of the university’s 2024 Senate elections under the University of Haripur Election to the University Authorities Statutes – 2016.

According to The University of Haripur, Dr. Islam was the only candidate nominated for the position representing the Associate Professor section. His unopposed election highlights his standing within the academic community and the trust placed in him to contribute positively to the governance of the university. The election was conducted in compliance with the KP Universities Act-2012 (Amended 2016), which governs the election process within the university.
